The Faculty of Clinical Informatics is pleased to announce its Annual Scientific Conference which will include national and international keynote speakers and cover a range of digital health topics including: Patient Data, Artificial Intelligence, and Digital Training
We are delighted that Professor Bob Wachter, Chair, Dept of Medicine, University of California, San Francisco has accepted our invitation to be the International Prestigious Lecturer at the conference. Bob was rated the most influential physician-executive in the U.S. in 2016, and his tweets on Covid-19 have been viewed over 300 million times by his 200,000 followers. His 2015 book, “The Digital Doctor,” was a New York Times bestseller. His “Wachter Report” commissioned by the NHS in 2016 helped guide the NHS’s digital strategy for the past five years. He will be in conversation with Rachel Dunscombe, Head of the NHS Digital Academy Leadership Programme, in a session entitled, “Do All Informaticians now need a ‘Driving Licence’ for Health Informatics?”

- Nursing Informatics: Improving efficiency, safety and patient experience through the use of real time analytics
- Introduction to user-centred design for AHPs
- What does the adoption of AI mean in practice for the healthcare workforce
- Measuring demand in General Practice
- Building a multi-disciplinary clinical informatics team in health and social care
The Faculty of Clinical Informatics has been established as the multi-disciplinary professional body for all health and social care qualified individuals working as informaticians across the UK.
