This masterclass will focus on leading teams and improving team working in maternity care, to improve quality of care and patient safety.
The Government response to the independent review into the maternity and neonatal services at an NHS Trust following concerns about the quality and outcomes of care, recommends that:
Relevant bodies, including the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, the Royal College of Midwives and the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, will be charged with reporting on how teamworking in maternity and neonatal care can be improved, with particular reference to establishing common purpose, objectives and training from the outset.

He is a Member of the Faculty of Surgical Trainers at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and formerly lead for e-learning for healthcare for the Royal College of Surgeons of England. With Postgraduate Certificates in Leadership and Coaching, Perbinder is a patient safety and human factors trainer, which has led him to embark on learning behaviour, staff engagement, nudge theory and psychology, and he is an Emotional Intelligence Practitioner.
