The virtual masterclass will enable Care Homes to consider what is required to protect their patient/service user’s data and to ensure measures are in place to reduce potential risk to the data leakage and consequences to the Care Home.

- The rights of individuals regarding their data

Barry is an Information Governance and Data Protection practitioner of many years standing, formerly as the Head of Information Governance for an NHS Trust and more recently as an independent consultant. His passion is to make the subject interesting and understandable for all. He is a Fellow of the Information and Records Management Society and in 2020 received the Information Commissioner’s Practitioner Award for Excellence in Data Protection. Barry was an NHS Hospital Staff and Public Governor for 9 years and now a Chair of School Governors.
