The Masterclass will present the Hope for Children and Families (HfCF) modular approach to developing core therapeutic skills to work with:
- The most common forms of mental health problems in childhood associated with disruptive and challenging behaviour;
- To understand the origin of disruptive and challenging behaviour as responses to stressful and traumatic experiences in their lives, including COVID-19;
- To work with parents and carers to manage disruptive and challenging behaviour, and with children and young people to manage their responses.
This masterclass can be attended as a stand alone course, or to complement attendance at Core skills for practitioners working with Children and Young People’s anxiety, depression, and traumatic symptoms with the same facilitators and modular approach.
Practitioners in social care, health, education and youth justice who need to develop their skills in working with children and young people who present with disruptive and challenging behaviour in the home, community and residential contexts should attend this virtual masterclass.
