This conference focuses on the important issue of improving care, support and services for adult bereavement. The ongoing impact of the Covid-19 pandemic has led to increased need for effective support with the tragic loss of life, often under very difficult circumstances, challenging bereavement services to work differently.

Overall, many people are not getting the right support at the right time, with potentially serious consequences in all areas, from health and wellbeing to education and employment and even long-term economic outcomes... It is incumbent upon us all to work together to improve the experiences of bereaved people.

The UK Commission on Bereavement 2022

Though bereavement and grief cannot be avoided, there are actions that can be taken to ensure that everyone who is grieving receives the support they need, at the right time. These improvements have never been more urgent.
